Tracing to the machine's minimum
The laser can't hold a line thinner than 0.6 mm, and on some materials the minimum moves to 0.8 or 0.9, so every curve, opening, and counter gets checked against that number before it ships.
That changes how I trace. Detail that reads fine at full zoom has to go where the tolerance says so, and I thicken hairlines, widen tight spaces, and simplify textures until every stroke clears the minimum.
I did this for a custom laser-engraving shop from November 2022 through September 2023, on call by season, from customer image to machine-ready file.
