About
I'm Alden, a designer who likes the hard, unglamorous problems, and making them look easy.
The short version
I'm a UI/UX and graphic designer based in the Philippines, with around two years focused on UX and four in graphic design. I work across the whole stack of a problem: research, structure, interface, and the brand wrapped around it.
Most of my work lives in domains people find intimidating: lending and payments, preventive health, operational software. I'm drawn to them precisely because the bar is clarity. When the subject matter is heavy, good design isn't decoration: it's the difference between a product people trust and one they abandon.
I try to be the kind of collaborator who lowers the temperature in a room: decisions arrive with their reasoning attached, work is honest about its trade-offs, and reviews tend to be short because the thinking was done out loud. It's why projects often close without long revision loops, and why clients come back.

A bit of background
- Now
Freelance product & brand design
Working with fintech, health, and software teams who need a designer who can think and ship, mostly through Upwork.
- ~2 yrs
UX & product design
Designing flows, systems, and interfaces for products where the stakes, and the data density, are real.
- ~4 yrs
Graphic & visual design
A longer foundation in brand, layout, vectorization, and visual craft that still shapes how every interface I make looks and feels.
“Understand the real constraint, argue the decision clearly, and ship something that holds up. Everything else is taste.”
